KIRKUDBRIGHT SUMMER FESTIVALITIES
The site lists many of the exciting attractions and events to be held in Kirkcudbright during the coming summer. Every summer from July/August there is an exhibition in the Town Hall, previous years have included The Impressionists, Glasgow Boys, Airdrie Boys.
CASTLE DOUGLAS FOOD TOWN
With approximately fifty local businesses involved in either producing or selling food and drink, it is easy to see why Castle Douglas has been designated a Food Town. The vibrancy and appeal of Castle Douglas lies largely in the draw of the shops and cafés, restaurants and hotels.

THE GRACEFIELD ARTS CENTRE
Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries presents a changing programme of exhibitions. These feature regional, national and international artists and craft makers. It also stores a collection of over 600 artworks by Scottish artists or art relating to the region. These are shown in exhibitions throughout the year.
THE FULLARTON CINEMA
The Fullarton (formerly Lochside) Theatre is a recently well refurbished cinema. Plays live recordings of London West End productions as well as popular films and a wide range of productions for all age groups. It is the creative hub of the Castle Douglas Community.
ROBERT BURNS CENTRE FILM THEATRE
The Robert Burns Centre is a great introduction to Robert Burns. You can peek inside his mausoleum upon request. Inside is a gift shop with quality books about Burns and a cinema which shows Robert Burns films through the day and popular films in the evening.
THE SPRING FLING
The Spring Fling is held for 9 days at the end of May. Artists open their studios and present their work to the public.
